Esteban Correa

Compositor de música de concierto, labor que comprende una producción cercana al medio centenar de obras, incluyendo piezas para orquesta, ensamble e instrumento solo —junto a música para teatro—, presentadas tanto en Chile como en el exterior (América Latina, Norteamérica, Europa y Asia). Este trabajo creativo, que ha sido distinguido y le ha valido el reconocimiento de la crítica especializada de su país, se extiende asimismo al campo de la música popular a través del trío Septiembre, donde complementa un rol autoral con la práctica de la guitarra y el canto.

was born in Ovalle, Chile, in 1979. He is a composer, interpreter and educator. Educated musically in the University of La Serena, where is a lecturer, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, he has developed an artistic career bound to the composition of concert music, which comprises a production of over 40 works, including pieces for orchestra, ensemble and single instrument, alongside theater music, featured both in Chile and abroad (Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia).

This creative work, that has been honored and has been worth the recognition of the critic specialized of Chile, extends likewise to the domain of the popular music through the trio Septiembre, where he complements the role of the author with the practice of the guitar and singing.
